About Dr. Nguyen

Parul Nguyen, M.D., was attracted to the field of obstetrics and gynecology because of the opportunity it provides her to develop lifelong relationships with her patients. “It’s very fulfilling to take care of a woman as she progresses through the different stages of her life,” Dr. Nguyen says. “It’s a thrill to work with my patients from the moment they learn they are pregnant, to having their babies, to hearing about their children as they grow. No other medical specialty offers that.”

Dr. Nguyen came to Kansas City Women’s Clinic from her home state of Alabama. In fact, her father also was an obstetrician/gynecologist. “I didn’t intend to follow in my father’s footsteps, but when I went to medical school, I found myself drawn to the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology.”

Dr. Nguyen says she joined the Kansas City Women’s Clinic because of the high standard of care and the services its physicians provide. “I think our patients like coming to KCWC because of the highly personalized care we offer.” Her practice includes caring for women of all ages, offering comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care.

Dr. Nguyen’s own family includes her husband, Giang Nguyen, M.D., a pediatrician with Children’s Mercy Hospital, and their two young children.
