FERTILITY SERVICES – About 10 percent of couples in the United States have difficulty conceiving a child or have issues with fertility. If you and your partner are trying to have a child and you have not gotten pregnant, you may want to consider a fertility evaluation.
Our comprehensive fertility services include laboratory testing, diagnostic procedures, fertility enhancement techniques and microsurgical treatment of infertility including tubal reversal. These services are coordinated by designated staff members who have special training in treating fertility issues. See our Basal Body Temperature Chart.
PRENATAL PROGRAM – Over the past five decades, our team of doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners has developed a unique, comprehensive approach to prenatal care, including high-risk prenatal care. The KCWC Prenatal Program provides you with the most up-to-date obstetrical care available in the Kansas City area.
Initially, we will ask you to complete a health history form that is reviewed by your physician. Based on your responses, your physician will provide you with information that will help give your baby the best start possible in life. Your partner is welcome at your prenatal visits and is encouraged to participate in your birth experience. KCWC can advise you on Lamaze classes available in the area. When you begin your prenatal program with KCWC, our staff will be available to guide you through your questions about insurance coverage, payment plans and any other billing questions you may have.
ULTRASOUND and FETAL MONITORING – Ultrasound is an important diagnostic tool in a wide variety of other obstetrical/gynecologic issues. Using our certified technicians and state-of-the-art equipment, we can provide you with the high-definition images necessary to diagnose these health concerns. This can also make your first meeting with your baby more memorable. You will receive a keepsake photo as an opportunity to continue bonding. As a further opportunity to connect with your baby, we offer a 3-D sonogram as a keepsake.
POST PARTUM CARE – As you welcome the newest member of your family into your home, it's also important to take good care of yourself and your health. Please follow our instructions for Post Partum Care and let us know if you have any questions or concerns during this time.

URO-GYNECOLOGY – We offer a highly successful approach for treating urologic problems such as loss of bladder control, dropping organs, recurrent bladder infections and chronic bladder or pelvic pain, beginning with a thorough evaluation of your symptoms. Treatment alternatives include surgical therapies, behavior therapy, and other non-surgical treatments. Specially designed urology staff and computer testing give KCWC the most advanced testing and treatment capabilities in the greater Kansas City area. See our Bladder Diary and Urinary Evaluation.
CHALLENGING GYN ISSUES – We offer the most up-to-date treatment options for managing Pap smears and HPV.
MIDLIFE and MENOPAUSE – Midlife is a busy time, full of changes and can be the perfect time to switch to a new career, go back to school or take up new hobbies.
Your body changes at midlife too. KCWC physicians can provide you with a full range of options that are tailored to your midlife health needs. The KCWC team provides direction and encourages you to take an active role in this time of transition.
BONE DENSITOMETRY – Bones go through a constant state of loss and re-growth. As we age, more loss than growth can occur. This can lead to a condition called osteoporosis. The bones then become thin and fragile and can break easily. Women are at increased risk for osteoporosis.
That is why KCWC offers you the latest in bone densitometry technology. This test is a simple, short, non-invasive exam. The results give your physician important information about your bones. If your exam indicates you are at risk for osteoporosis, we can begin the appropriate therapy.
SURGERY - KCWC physicians are highly experienced in a variety of surgical procedures and have trained numerous obstetricians/gynecologists. As master-level instructors, we offer the most experienced physicians in minimally invasive surgical techniques such as microsurgery, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation. Should it become necessary for you to have one of these procedures, our staff will help guide you through this process.
If you have been scheduled for surgery, below are links to more information you will need for preparation. Please review all of this information and discuss any questions you may have with your doctor.
