Crystal M. Newby, M.D.

Dr. Newby loves the challenge of diagnosing a patient's problem and developing a treatment plan. With so much more information at her disposal, Dr. Newby takes the time to explain different therapies and options available to her patients. She says, "I offer reasonable choices to each patient and provide them with the information they need to make a good choice. The patient ultimately chooses her own course of treatment from the options presented to her," Dr. Newby says.

More about our physiciansarrow

Smiling woman Health care is one of the most complex of all the issues we face in our daily lives. That is why KCWC provides you with a patient service coordinator who is available to assist you as a liaison between our office, the hospital where you are receiving treatment, and your insurance provider.

Patient Service Coordinators

The patient service coordinators schedule outpatient and inpatient services at the hospitals, such as tests, X-rays or surgeries that cannot be performed in our offices. When making your hospital arrangements, a KCWC coordinator will discuss the procedure and any special instructions with you. A coordinator also will help you meet your insurance requirements for pre-certification and coverage.

Our patient service coordinators make hospital arrangements for patients seen at both office locations. Please contact them at our Quivira Office, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 913-894-8500.

Nurse Practitioners

We have three nurse practitioners at KCWC who are important members of our health care team. They are:

All three are registered nurses with advanced education and certification in the specialty of obstetrics/gynecology. They work under the direct supervision of a physician. The nurse practitioners can perform general physical exams for both obstetric and gynecologic patients, and also are trained to take care of certain obstetrical/gynecological problems.

If you choose to see one of our nurse practitioners, she will personally handle your care and will consult a KCWC physician when necessary regarding diagnostic measures and any treatment you may need.

Our nurse practitioner services are available by appointment Monday through Friday at our Quivira Office. To schedule an appointment, call 913-894-8500.
